What’s my story?

I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I wanted to do it SO badly that I didn’t do it at all. Has that ever happened to you? I have countless unfinished articles, chronologies, tons of ideas to write about, and pages and pages of painstaking research, but have I published anything? No. I have held myself back until today.

I owe it all to you Substack.

I want to continue to learn and write about English and European History, concentrating on the Tudors, Wars of the Roses and Early Modern England.... because I absolutely freaking love it …and so I know what to say if I ever meet Dan Jones..

Speaking of Dan Jones, I am also planning to create newsletters about our favorite Historians, Authors & Content Creators so you know who to follow and why.

Why did I start a Substack?

Because I have exactly one person to talk to (besides you).

No one understands my obsession here. I have bored my friends to the point that they wished they were drowned in a vat of Malmsey wine (IYKYK).

Thoughts on repeat: “Who killed the princes in the tower?” “Why is Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey so hot?” “Why doesn’t anyone else care that Henry Tudor was actually bad a** MF’er?”

I’m not gonna do what everyone thinks I’m gonna do… which is to have this post be an sad little orphan… I am really trying to publish weekly
